These services fall under: Services you can get through Fee-For-Service (FFS) Medi-Cal or other programs.
If you are worried that your child is having a hard time taking part and learning at school, talk to your child’s Primary Care Doctor, teachers or administrators at the school.
In addition to your medical benefits covered by L.A. Care, there are services that the school must provide to help your child learn and not fall behind.
Examples of services that may be provided to help your child learn include:
- Speech and Language Services
- Psychological Services
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Assistive Technology
- Social Work Services
- Counseling Services
- School Nurse Services
- Transportation to and from school
These services are provided by and paid for by the California Department of Education. Together with your child’s doctors and teachers, you can make a custom plan that will best help your child.
