When you first call, a Health Resource Coordinator will ask you questions about the reason for your call. Based on your need, you will be connected immediately to a nurse to give you the health advice you need.
Our nurses are trained professionals who can help with health related concerns or advise you on what to do next, including helping you to get urgent or emergency level care.
If possible, please have the patient’s L.A Care identification number when you call. If you’re calling for another L.A. Care member that is a member of your family or a friend, that person should be with you in case the advice nurse has questions about that member’s condition.
