Since 2017, L.A. Care has been funding a 10-week Center for Caregiver Advancement training course for the In-Home Supportive Services caregivers of L.A. Care members. Nearly 6,000 caregivers have received the training, and analysis shows it has resulted in fewer ER visits and hospitalizations for members. Here is one story.
When the public health emergency ended in April, state health officials estimated that as many as 3 million Californians could lose Medi-Cal coverage… many of them simply because they didn’t get their renewal forms in on time. The forms can be intimidating and that’s why the L.A. Care-Blue Shield Promise Community Resource Centers are offering help. A mom of L.A. Care Medi-Cal members was thrilled to have that help.
