Thousands to receive free medical, dental and vision care
LOS ANGELES – For an eighth straight year, L.A. Care is proud to be a Presenting Sponsor of Care Harbor/LA, a free clinic that provides medical, dental and vision care to thousands of uninsured, underinsured and at-risk Angelenos each year. Care Harbor/LA has served more than 23,000 patients with the help of 22,000 volunteers since its first clinic in 2011. The clinic handles high patient volume efficiently while creating a compassionate, welcoming environment.
This year’s clinic is being held October 13-15, at The REEF, 1933 South Broadway in downtown Los Angeles.
To enter the clinic and receive services, people must pick up a free wristband at one of two locations the weekend prior to the clinic. Wristbands will be available:
- Saturday, October 6, at the Ted Watkins Park Fieldhouse, 1335 E. 103rd Street.
- Sunday, October 7, at Los Angeles Trade Tech College, 2115 South Grand Avenue
Distribution will begin at 10 am each day.
