L.A. Care’s Physician Leadership Program is designed to equip physicians with tangible leadership and management skills to effect change within their health centers, and improve patient care and health outcomes.
Participants will gain in-depth management skills and sharpen their leadership capacity through interactive, experiential learning over a six-month period.
The program includes in-person seminars with expert faculty, individual leadership coaching at the start and end of the program, and an organization-based leadership project to implement newly acquired skills.
It's important to note that the Physician Leadership Program is only open to physicians working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or certain other types of community clinics in Los Angeles County that are contracted with L.A. Care. The Physician Leadership Program is offered free of charge to all participants.
