The Board of Governors established the L.A. Care Network and Community Relief Fund in February 2025. The Relief Fund provides $10 million in supplemental assistance for county and municipal agencies, community organizations, and impacted network providers responding to the 2025 L.A. Wildfires.
The Relief Fund is intended to advance the recovery and rebuilding of impacted communities and transform systems to meet the future needs of the community. L.A. Care’s resources will ensure under-represented and isolated community members have access to optimized social and health care service systems. These systems will prioritize the needs of marginalized community members and the safety net that serves them.
With a focus on mid to long-term recovery, L.A. Care intends to provide under-resourced community members a real opportunity to emerge from this tragedy with optimal health by designing holistic, high quality, person-centered care delivery, in addition to providing immediate relief resources.
