Neonatal herpes is a viral disease caused by the herpes virus which could produce brain damage, blindness, mental disability and even death on infants if the appropriate health precautions are not taken.
Dr. Diana Ramos, an ObGyn and Medical Director for Reproductive Health from the L.A. County Public Health Department, was interviewed on Telemundo’s newscast Al Medio Dia about the importance of preventing neonatal herpes in newborns.
