WHY:               To raise awareness among African-Americans and Latinos in Lynwood about
                          access to free H1N1 vaccines.

Despite the fact that African-Americans and Latinos are at greater risk of
getting the H1N1 influenza, primarily because they suffer disproportionately
from asthma, diabetes and other health conditions, they are less likely to get
vaccinated, according to an L.A. Times/USC Poll.

In fact, the county health records show that in South Los Angeles,
African-Americans have lower rates of getting vaccinated against H1N1
compared to the general population. This may be attributed to a general
distrust of the medical establishment and to limited access to health care
                          and health education.
