Los Angeles — Covered California’s final rates for 2018 show that L.A. Care’s premiums are the most affordable across Los Angeles County in the Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers. The rates were released on October 11.
The low premiums offered through its commercial plan, L.A. Care Covered, reflect the agency’s ongoing mission to serve those who have had the most challenges obtaining health insurance coverage. Despite the uncertainties around health care, L.A. Care will always work to elevate healthcare and provide a safety net for vulnerable and low-income communities.
As a proud participating insurer in Covered California, L.A. Care is the only health plan focused exclusively on the L.A. market. The health plan has more members in multiple product lines in the county than any other, with services designed to best meet the needs of all Angelenos.
These services include no-cost preventive and wellness care through a large network of providers. The network includes 42 hospitals, 2,000 physicians and 1,000 pharmacies, including CVS and Rite Aid stores — all in the communities where members live, work and play.
