KVEA Telemundo 52 Reports on L.A. Care's New Medical Student Scholars

KVEA covered L.A. Care's July 23 event celebrating year two of its Elevating the Safety Net Scholarship Program.

Eight students are receiving up to $350,000 to complete medical school, with four attending the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and four going to the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. The students are committed to giving back to the community, hoping to work in the Los Angeles County safety net and help those most in need. KVEA interviewed one of the scholars and his father, who shared their thoughts on serving others and helping children to reach their goals.
