L.A. Care Health Plan is proud to join iHeart radio’s AM 570 LA Sports, the flagship broadcast home of the LA Dodgers, in sponsoring a Major League Baseball Pitch Hit & Run event in Palmdale. Former Dodgers All-Star and World Champion Steve Sax will be on hand to help kids ages 7 to 14 build a variety of baseball and softball skills. The program, which targets children in under-resourced communities, looks to improve the kids’ playing skills and enforces positive role modeling and mentorship.
Up to 200 children will take part in the Pitch Hit & Run event, which can earn kids an expense paid trip to the 2024 World Series. Dodgers hats will also be distributed at the event.
