Dr. Sameer Amin, L.A. Care Chief Medical Officer

Sameer Amin, MD, the Chief Medical Officer at L.A. Care Health Plan, is among the healthcare leaders who will share their expertise at the 2023 Southern California State of Reform Health Policy Conference tomorrow in Pasadena. Dr. Amin is one of the panelists in the opening plenary session, which is titled The Future of the Safety Net. Part of L.A. Care’s mission is to support the safety net that serves vulnerable and low-income communities in Los Angeles County, making Dr. Amin an important voice on this topic. Panelists will share their perspectives on the direction of health reform initiatives and the pace of change for improvement in health care. The others healthcare leaders on this panel are Karen Spiegel, a Riverside County Supervisor, and Lisa Wong, MD, the Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.

Dr. Amin is also in a breakout session titled State of Today’s Healthcare System in the Region.
