“L.A. Care Health Plan is excited to celebrate the launch of Cover LA, our partnership with Community Health Alliance of Pasadena and other local community clinics.
Cover LA is a group of community health centers – the local, trusted sources – working together to educate and enroll Los Angeles County residents in programs under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), including Covered California and Medi-Cal expansion.
This one-stop shop offers our community the opportunity to ask questions in-person and in the language of their choice, to better understand and participate in new coverage options. It is a storefront for health care coverage. While open enrollment for Covered California ends on March 31, enrollment in Medi-Cal is available throughout the year.
The ACA is making history in Los Angeles County – high quality, affordable health care has become possible for so many more of us. For the past 16 years, L.A. Care has strived each day to make this dream a reality, and it is the reason that we entered the Marketplace with L.A. Care Covered™, our Covered California Qualified Health Plan.
Today, we are proud to partner with Cover LA to provide access to the health care coverage that so many have gone without for far too long. We expect significant continued growth in enrollment for months to come.”
