L.A. Care will be conducting its annual Timely Access to Care compliance audit. As part of the compliance audit, L.A. Care is monitoring and reviewing appointment availability and after-hours accessibility standards.
On behalf of L.A. Care, the Center for the Study of Services (CSS), an independent NCQA-certified research firm, will be conducting the audits over the next several months. We will be contacting provider offices via fax, email or phone to evaluate patient access to health care providers, as required by the Department of Managed Health Care and other regulatory agencies.
We encourage you to review your current procedures and update any processes as necessary, to be compliant with the Timely Access to Care Standards.
