WHAT: L.A. Care’s Inglewood Family Resource Center is celebrating the
introduction of its services to the Inglewood community with a Ribbon Cutting and
Preview Opening of its new facility.

WHY: Because a key component to quality healthcare is access to information about
preventive healthcare, the L.A. Care Family Resources Centers are designed to
educate, empower and provide relevant healthcare information.
HOW: The Inglewood Family Resource Center will offer free health education and
exercise classes, assistance in navigating and understanding the health care
system, and services such as free periodic health screenings for blood pressure,
weight and vision. Free health education classes include: parenting workshops,
healthy cooking demonstrations,asthma and diabetes disease management,
healthy living, weight management, nutritition, dance and Pilates.
