L.A. Care Teams Up with Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles to Celebrate Caregivers

Date:
Wednesday, November 1, 2017

For National Family Caregivers Month this November, L.A. Care is teaming up with Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles to recognize and celebrate family caregivers.

Family caregivers work tirelessly to help improve the health and wellness of the ones they love, and National Family Caregivers Month is an opportunity to raise awareness of the challenges they face, to educate family caregivers about self-identification, and to promote support of family caregivers.

For this reason, L.A. Care is proud to partner with Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of local families affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia, by increasing awareness, delivering effective programs, and providing compassionate support to family caregivers.

Every Tuesday we will share #TuesdayTips for caregivers, to help with day-to-day challenges. Every Thursday we will share #ThursdayThoughts and #DidYouKnow facts and figures to help raise awareness about Alzheimer’s, dementia, and caregiving. For #SelflessSunday each Sunday, we will give a shout-out to a caregiver who deserves some recognition.

There are countless caregivers out there who deserve recognition—join us by posting about your appreciation for a caregiver in your life.
