L.A. Care to Offer Health Screenings and Free Backpacks in Pacoima to Help Kids Succeed in the New School Year

Los Angeles — As part of its efforts to elevate health care for all, L.A. Care Health Plan will host a Back to School Health Fair at its Pacoima Family Resource Center on Saturday, July 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Recognizing that preventive care and timely treatment are key elements to ensuring that children are ready for school, L.A. Care will offer a variety of health and developmental screenings ahead of the new school year.   

Additionally, L.A. Care will give away backpacks filled with school supplies, provide free haircuts for children and offer kid-friendly activities.

L.A. Care’s Pacoima Family Resource Center is located at 10807 San Fernando Road, Pacoima, CA 91331.
