L.A. Care Expands Access to Care in Antelope Valley with Addition of Palmdale Regional Medical Center to its Provider Network

Los Angeles — L.A. Care Health Plan today announced that it has contracted with Palmdale Regional Medical Center to join its provider network. The addition of Palmdale Regional is expected to significantly expand access to care to more than 120,000 L.A. Care members residing in the Antelope Valley.

“At a time when many are left wondering about their ability to obtain the care they need, we could not be more proud to partner with a top notch medical facility that continually demonstrates a commitment to excellence,” said L.A. Care CEO John Baackes. “With Palmdale Regional now in our network, our members will have even greater access to the quality care they deserve.”

“We are excited to be joining the L.A. Care family of providers. It is our ongoing goal to expand accessibility to programs and services, enhance the continuity of care we provide, and ensure all services meet the highest standards of quality and safety for all of our patients and their families,” said Palmdale Regional Medical Center’s CEO Richard Allen.

The multi-year contract – effective since June 1, 2017 – is designed to provide service to members of all of L.A. Care’s health care coverage plans.

Palmdale Regional Medical Center, accredited by The Joint Commission and nationally recognized for many of its services, currently boasts 184 beds, 400 medical staff and recently unveiled its cutting edge Rehabilitation Institute at Palmdale Regional to help patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and other qualifying conditions.
