Notice of Center Closure - Updated March 25

In response to COVID-19 (coronavirus), all Family Resource Centers and the Community Resource Center in Pomona are closed until further notice.

Thank you for your patience as L.A. Care does its part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Please note that eligible L.A. Care members can use Teladoc to access urgent care from home. You can talk to a doctor by phone or video chat if you have a health concern and can't reach your regular doctor. Visit our Teladoc web page for more information.

As always, the Nurse Advice Line for free health advice is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-249-3619 (TTY 711). L.A. Care members may also contact Member Services by calling the number on the back of your Member ID card for other questions.

Welcome to L.A. Care’s Family Resource Center in Palmdale. The Palmdale Family Resource Center offers a broad array of free health and wellness classes to Antelope Valley residents.

In planning for the Center’s programming, L.A. Care sought input from community members to help identify and understand local health priorities. The Center offers classes on chronic disease management, prevention of asthma, diabetes and obesity, and a variety of exercise classes that promote a healthy lifestyle.

The 7,000 square foot center also offers assistance in applying for free or low-cost health care coverage to residents throughout the region. All of our classes and services are free and open to everyone — come visit us.

What's Available at a Family Resource Center?

L.A. Care's six Family Resource Centers focus on the needs of local communities — providing health plan information, and offering health, nutrition and exercise classes for both L.A. Care members and the general public.
