Boyle Heights Family Resource Center

We are dedicated to helping Los Angeles County residents get access to high-quality health education programs and services. Open to all L.A. Care members and the public, the Boyle Heights Family Resource Center is the place for you to learn about important health topics to keep you and your family healthy.

Classes and workshops are free. Take an exercise class, talk to a registered dietician, learn how to cook and plan healthy meals and more.

AT 101 — Using Assistive Technology

Provided in partnership with Team of Advocates for Special Kids (TASK)

This workshop provides information on the laws related to assistive technology (AT). We’ll cover the AT evaluation process and discuss ideas for writing AT into the individualized education program (IEP) for children with special needs.

There will be a brief introduction to the various types of assistive technology that are available. Please call (213) 294-2840 to sign up for the class.
