Boyle Heights Family Resource Center

We are dedicated to helping Los Angeles County residents get access to high-quality health education programs and services. Open to all L.A. Care members and the public, the Boyle Heights Family Resource Center is the place for you to learn about important health topics to keep you and your family healthy.

Classes and workshops are free. Take an exercise class, talk to a registered dietician, learn how to cook and plan healthy meals and more.

Diabetes Management

Diabetes Management in Partnership with the American Diabetes Association

L.A. Care wants to help you learn how to manage your diabetes. Every Wednesday in June, the Boyle Heights Family Resource Center and the American Diabetes Association will offer a series of four sessions that will discuss the causes and effects of diabetes and provide tips on diabetes management.

  • “Health & Flavor in the Latino Kitchen”, June 14th (Spanish Only)

  • “Power Over Diabetes” June 28th (Spanish Only)
