Howard A. Kahn, CEO of L.A. Care, Available To Comment on Impact of Supreme Court Ruling
Affordable Care Act Decision Reaction
LOS ANGELES—(June 27, 2012)—Howard A. Kahn, CEO of L.A. Care Health Plan, the nation’s largest public health plan, will issue a statement and then will be available to comment after the U.S. Supreme Court issues its decision on the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act. The court is expected to issue the ruling Thursday morning.
Mr. Kahn is prepared to discuss the court decision’s potential impact on Los Angeles and California, the health insurance and healthcare industry and especially on low-income and uninsured people. L.A. Care serves more than 1 million low-income, vulnerable members in Los Angeles County.
Mr. Kahn will be returning from Washington, D.C. on Thursday, where he has participated in a summit with community health plan leaders from around the country who were anxiously awaiting the court’s decision. Media are invited to interview Mr. Kahn in person or over the phone after the court ruling. Following is his availability:
