"The highlights of our partnership are reflected in the many initiatives that have improved our agency's infrastructure, our health outcomes and overall patient satisfaction."

JWCH Institute Inc. has partnered with L.A. Care since 2005.  We have a shared mission to increase access and provide high quality health care to the vulnerable and underserved populations of Los Angeles County. Over the past 20 years, L.A. Care has been instrumental in expanding and strengthening the safety net in Los Angeles County.  This has been evidenced  in countless ways, but most notably by its ongoing  implementation of additional programs and through community grant-making. JWCH Institute and its patients have been  key beneficiaries of L.A. Care's collaborative nature and generosity during its 20 year existence. The highlights of our partnership are reflected in the many initiatives that have improved our agency's infrastructure, our health outcomes and overall patient satisfaction. Examples reflective of L.A. Care's concern for the safety net and JWCH Institute, in particular, include support for our homeless, as well as our indigent patients:
- Creation of a homeless health information registry shared by health and social service providers in Downtown Skid Row
 - Assistance with the implementation of a program to treat our patients with Hepatitis C
 - Support for an additional day of dental services at our Downtown homeless clinic (the Center for Community Health)
- Support for extended hours at our Bell Gardens and Norwalk clinics
- Support for a certified diabetic educator and the provision of diabetes education, classes and community outreach
- Support for process improvement to enhance women's and children's preventive health outcomes
- Support for a cross-sector relationship/collaborative to conduct outreach and provide linkage for the homeless and LGBT community in Hollywood
